He decided that I needed to have a shot of steroids in order to reduce swelling long enough to allow some of the tissues to grow back.  Then the swelling would be reduced over time.  I asked him about complete recovery time and he said it can take upwards of ten months.<\/p>\n<p>This evening I was on the boat patrol.  The ankle was feeling good because of the shot.  I am a big fan of not having ankle pain.<\/p>\n<p>While I was out on the boat I had a chance to drive for a while.  I hadn&#8217;t driven the new boat yet.  It went smoothly.
