Hanging with two who are leaving

June 30th, 2005

Now that I am back in Pullman, at least part-time, I have two people who are leaving. Mark who has played softball with the Nadirs for two years and with My Office for nearly as long is going to Auburn to teach down there with his wife. He will leave in about one week. So I will have to find yet another softball player, but he was someone I had hoped would be on the team for a long time to come.

Also leaving now is Kristine. Her contract at WSU is up, and it does not look good for another one. I am very disappointed about that.

I spent the day E-mailing with the LPX people a whole bunch more trying to get a simple question answered… is a response being sent? I have not gotten a yes or no to that yet! I am pulling my hair out over that. I cleaned up my office and got some trash bags full of junk mail and shreddings of stuff. I am going to make a dump run next week with stuff from the house and here. I also got all the book work on my engineer packet completed too.

I worked on the V-Three-Two import. I cannot debug through it the way I would like to. So I need to figure out what to do about debugging it. I was here until around seven o’clock pm. I went to My Office and got some beer and met Mark there. We talked about his new job and why he chose to leave. He said he is getting a raise. His wife with get something that is tenure track as well as him. And his wife will make more money. After two pitcher of beer we went to the City Playfields. We watched a couple teams play softball. One of the teams is breathing down the neck of the My Office softball team. Mark wanted to see how they were going to do.

After we left there I went to Rico’s for Kristine who will be leaving now. Today was her last day under contract at WSU. It doesn’t look like she will be working for them anymore. So we were at Rico’s and no one was drinking except for Camron. I took Kristine to the Lobo Office to show her the Boating on the Snake River video I made.

Then we went back to Rico’s. We hung out a while longer listening to the band that was playing. The guys who were in my group knew the drummer form the band. It was not my kind of music at all, but I find when I listen to it live, I can watch the people play, and pick out different instruments. It is interesting and makes it more fun for me.

We left a little while later. We plan on getting together tomorrow night and going out to lunch tomorrow as well. I went to Jack in the Box and got dinner and headed home. I watched some TV and fell asleep on the couch.
