Pullman Fire Duty

June 29th, 2005

I got up at five-forty-five am to go into work early and put in as many hours as I could before heading to Pullman. I spent most of my time dealing with the LPX people about getting my computer to communicate with their servers. I also got my VIs and other paperwork organized in folders so I could more easily take it to Pullman with me.

I took off a little after noon and got some gas and food from AM/PM and headed out. Most of my drive all I could think about was doing stuff with the fire department. I was so excited.

I went to station one as soon as I got to town. I got most of my equipment. But we did not have turn out bottoms for me. They were supposed to be there but we could not find them. I went to station two and I had my talk with James. He is now in my chain of command and he just wanted to go over some items with me.

I was not able to do anything because I did not have full bunkers. I was disappointed. I did my map tests. I got one hundred percent on all of them, but I reversed the numbers on two locations that were next to each other.

I got some dinner from County Country and went home. I was reading through my Engineer training packet. A call for Colfax came out. I went on the call. It was pretty much a transfer from the nursing home across the parking lot to the hospital.

Bryce, Jenny, and I talked at the Colfax station for a while. We were talking about working in the jail and the people we work with down there. And the inmates and some of the crap they pull and how we deal with it.

I went home I was trying to read through more of the Engineering packet but I was really tired so I finally left and went to bed.
